Church has a weird reputation lately, and rightfully so. Sometimes it's difficult to discern the good news of Jesus from the mixed-up rhetoric of politics & capitalism, Causing disillusionment and religious trauma on mass scale, forcing thousands to walk away from their faith communities. For many of us, these are some reasons we walked away from the church. Can you relate? Or did you just never come back after the pandemic, or life got busy, and it's hard to give up part of a day off for something you are not even sure is good anymore?
That's why we knew we needed to create spaces like LA CHURCH—safe, inclusive, fully affirming communities committed to the genuine and authentic teachings of Jesus. We practice the way of Jesus, dedicating our lives to the good news of Jesus, which is rooted in justice, liberation, and peace for our neighbors! We work to create tables where everyone has a seat, a voice, and everyone eats. There is always enough to go around at the table of Jesus.

Everyone is welcome at LA CHURCH! We are a safe place for safe people. So whether you are a part of the LGBTQ+ community, a different faith or tradition, just new to this whole Jesus thing in general, or in the middle of deconstructing your faith, you are so very welcome and safe here as your whole and authentic self. There is no reason to hide or be afraid - you are not alone! We are for you, and so is Jesus!
